bio
Viktória is a jurist, independent researcher, consultant with a background in law, conceptual and critical design.
background
Viktória (b. 1992) was raised in Budapest (Hungary).
Having been interested in social coexistence she acquired a Master’s degree in Law at Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, Hungary (summa cum laude, 2017). During legal studies, she was focused on constitutional law. In her legal education and subsequent work experiences she researched, witnessed and embodied the contemporary qualities of the legal infrastructure space.
While the gap between the law as her ideal and the law as reality widened, she started to familiarize herself with the field of design, being engaged in questioning contemporary social structural phenomena, engaged in the imagination of alternative futures, creating dialogue on what could be and giving space to think alternatively through creative, embodied means.
In 2019 she enrolled at the Critical Inquiry Lab (MA) at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. The academy offered a space to be engaged with certain parts of the law otherwise, while she developed a profound understanding of critical and creative research. In her final year, she explored the philosophical implications of restorative justice, an alternative to punitive justice.
